You may have noticed the "Win" key next to the CTRL key on the left side of your keyboard. It's got a Microsoft Windows logo on it and looks like this.

It's one of those extra keys that makes a keyboard a "Windows" keyboard rather than a generic one. Up until now it remained unused and ignored by most Windows users. However, in Windows 7 the Win key has really come into it's own allowing you to pretty much do anything you want without having to reach for your mouse. Here's a list of the most useful Win key short-cuts.
- Win Home - Minimize or restore all other windows
- Win T - Cycle through the items on the taskbar left to right (to go right to left press the shift key as well)
- Win Space - Take a look at the desktop without minimising any windows
- Win Up arrow - Maximize
- Win Down arrow - Minimize
- Win Left or Right arrow - Dock the active window to the left or right side of the monitor screen it's displayed on.
- Win Shift Left or Right arrow - Move the active window to left or right monitor
